George Mann - Wynchwood

Tonight we went to see George Mann at Lindum Books.

'Best known for writing sci-fi and Doctor Who, turns to crime.  A murder investigation into a ritual slaughter in the sleepy village of Wilsby-under-Wychwood involves cryptic symbols that link it to the local myth of the Carrion King, a Saxon magician who once held a malevolent court deep in the forest, and leads to the discovery of sinister village secrets that hark back for decades'.

We loved it!  He talked about his writing and read us some excepts from the novel.  A great night out!  I ended up spending quite a lot of my Christmas pennies and I bought 3 of his books (all signed).  A graphic Dr Who novel for Jamie, one of his Steampunk novels as a present for my friend Leah (a Steampunker!) as well as a copy of Wychwood for myself, which I have to say I started as soon as I got home!!
